Post subject:  Existing Milk Car addition and milk car news

Friends,

As many of you, I run the Milk Train and Dairy Industry Group on Yahoo.

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/milktrains/

I encoruage any of you with interest in milk railroading to join and participate.

The latest addition to the exisiting milk car list is D&H #30043 on display at North Creek, NY. This wooden car now makes a total of 26 suriving milk cars in North America.

Are there more? I bet! If you know of more, let us know. There may be one other D&H car lurking out there!

You may also be interested in the research that list members are conducting on paint matching for milk car restorations and modeling. Jim Abott at HighBall Decals is working with dairy historians to make the most accurate model decal sets. The research being done is perfect to help anyone restoring a 1:1 milk car.

Got milk? Join us!
