My second post.
There was some questions a few years ago about the above locomotive. Here is a little information.
It was bought from an Agway store near Springfield, Mass. (Westfield?) and trucked to the Athol, Mass. B&M station where it was placed on a display track. Ten or fifteen years later the Connecticut Antique Machinery Assn. bought it with the intent of returning it to operation on their 3' trackage. The saddle tanker was put on the back burner when CAMA acquired Hawaii Railway #5, a very pretty looking gal.

I think CAMA still has the loco but I'm not sure of their plans
The circa 1873 Fitchburg RR station was acquired by the B&M around 1900 and served the Athol branch of the B&A until 1935. It also had a 1942(?) B&M NE-5 buggy (caboose) on display near the west end of the station. Some local talent set the wood interior on fire and turned it into a charcoal mine. It was sold for a hunting cabin in Maine as I recall. The station is now the headquarters of the local transit company and is very well cared for. There was an E. Howard model 100 tower clock in the tower that was sold to a collector. The design is very similar to the Milford NH RR station.

I have only been to their fall event some years ago but I was greatly impressed by their organization, operational equipment, facilities, and quality of work. I would include a visit to their events on a "Do not miss" list. Antique machinery abounds for all with such interests.
