I have heard reports and seen a photo or two of a number of Reading MU electric cars stored in Jim Thorpe, PA. I'm not sure who owns them, although I've heard Reading & Northern does. Does anyone know anything about these cars, or (fingers crossed) have a roster? I appreciate the help. Frank Hicks frank@gats.com |

Frank, The RDG m.u.'s at Jim Thorpe are owned by George M. Hart, Rail Tours, Inc. The first set were purchased by him from the Reading Company in 1976 (one is in use at Hart's other operation on the Stewartstown RR in Stewartstown, Pa.) and the second set are "blueliners" which he acquired from SEPTA in 1993. I have compiled a comprehensive all-time roster of Rail Tours, Inc. equipment (1962-present), which includes a detailed history of each m.u. he owns. I'll send it to you offline. K.R.
