That's exactly how they moved the California Western 56 (Baldwin RS-12) into Travel Town around 2 decades ago and it still had everything inside. Greg |

My Caboose was moved in much the same fashion but I never gave much thought as to moving a locomotive using the same methods. Tim W. |

We moved coaches into the Connecticut Trolley Museum that way about 25 years ago. It was a mess though. We really did not have the correct gear. Tools and winches were breaking. It was risky. |

The entire former Fremont Dinner Train was moved this way last November. It is up and running as the Kansas Belle Dinner Train in Baldwin City, Kansas. |

Nice to see this E8 being "saved", but it's a far cry from where it was 25 years ago when it was restored to full operation. Just goes to prove that no restoration is permanent! |
