A few weekends ago I was watching a country music channel on tv and they played a video for Johnny Cash's Fulsum Prison song. The video was made with shots of him performing the song in the 50's on a live tv show mixed with shots of an actor in a prison cell. Anyway, mixed in was various shots of the 2248 in Fort Worth. There were several shots of the front badge and a shot of the cars going by where you could clearly read TARANTULA on the side.
I just thought it was intersting to see, and I said to myself, hey Ive been on that engine.
I wonder when that was shot?

It might have simply been stock footage the music company bought from a "Stock"house. I have sold a few things direct to folks looking for a shot of this or that. We once sold some clips of 3751 to one of the major networks for use in a soap opera. They did air, as cutaway shots when the actors were done with a scene in the dinning car of a ficticious last run of a passenger train, and they would go to commercial.
Were there other trains in the video or was this the only one. If it was the only one, then perhaps they shot it for that purpose..Hard to know I guess.
