Interesting that while the DOI budgetary documents indicate reduced staffing and appropriations, Congress critters are busy thinking of expanding existing parks and creating new ones.

The person who wrote the narrative in this testimony to Congress is certainly the direct opposite of the "rail fan" mentioned in another recent post.

Too often people with little or no knowledge are allowed to pontificate about things and subjects they know nothing or little about. The irony is that he probably has access to government coffers to which his project aspires.

"Rail fans" can bore you to tears with volumes of information but contribute very little financially to the causes to which they subscribe their loyalty.

And just so there is no mistake about Abraham Lincoln's train station, that would be the existing Western Maryland Station in Gettysburg, but it was not named that during the Civil War.
