| Post subject: | Searching for Two locomotives |
I'm searching for the locations of two locomotives, both of which have reportedly been exported to the United States for "preservation". The two locomotives are: Krebet Baru Sugar Mill 0-4-4-0T No. 3, an Orenstein & Koppel (1909, CN: 3770) was listed in steamlocomotive.info's source material as 'Gone' at its location in Indonesia. Subsequently it was learned that it was purchased by a private individual in Melbourne, Australia and that it was subsequently exported to the United states "in the early 1990s" Krebet Baru Sugar Mill 0-8-0T No. 11 a Hanomag product (1925 CN 10410). We had no listing for this locomotive, but it was also purchased, apparently by the same private individual in Australia, and is reported to have been sold to a private individual in the United States, apparently in 1989. Does anyone, by chance have any further information on these two projects? |
