The SBRHS website has just been updated with information about the use of the 4449's auxiliary tender for the trip to the Grand Canyon, that appears on the 'Canyon Rails 2002 Schedule' page.

'Image Gallery 4' was updated with more pictures of the trip to Railfair 99, and more pictures were added to the write up about the Amtrak inspection of the 3751 on the 'Latest News' page, including this picture of the engine looking like it's floating in mid air taken by volunteer Steve Crise.

Enjoy!

So, will this be repainted to match the 3751 or is it remaining in freedom paint colors?
I suspect this will add to the circus-like train it will be pulling, right!

No repainting needed, it's already all black, was never painted in AFT colors, as it is also used by the 700.

The black paint has nothing to do with the use by the 700. The black paint is left over from the BNSF employee specials the 4449 pulled. The aux was going to be painted AFT, but we had the worst March weather in history and this prevented us from painting it. The plan is to have it painted next year into Daylight colors.
