Beyer Garratt AD60 6029 (Beyer- Peacock, Manchester, England 1953) was drawn out into the yard in Canberra, Australia this past weekend to have the stoker drive motor fitted.

This allowed some new images in the winter sunshine.

Main task left to complete is the fitting of new piston rings to all four corners.

A static steam test is expected in the next 4-6 weeks

Neither....these locos have cast steel frames made by General Steel Casting Corporation in, I think, Pennsylvania but possibly Illinois.

It could have been either, as both GSC's Granite City, Illinois plant (formerly the Commonwealth Steel Company plant) and its Philadelphia plant produced locomotive frames that size and larger.

Thanks for the update; looks like it won't be much longer till she's under steam once more...
