It seems as if each time Nikon rearranges their website, the Cool Scan slide scanner software ends up in a more remote and obscure corner. It is now found in an area called "Upgrade Your Software", a curious label since no drivers were developed for Windows 7 or Windows 8 operating systems. There are work-around solutions available for using the Cool Scan slide scanner product line with Windows 7 and Windows 8, like installing an aftermarket scanning package like Vue-Scan, which includes drivers that will work with the Nikon Cool Scan. I will leave it to the computer experts on RYPN to describe and debate any other available options, if they care to do so.
