I note in a post below that Minnesota Transportation Museum has a former GN F unit. Is this the one from Bandana Square (ex-NP carshop complex, commercialized in the 1980s)? http://www.tcmrm.org/tab/location.html ryarger@rypn.org |

It is indeed the unit from Bandana, which is former GN but is painted in the NP freight scheme. The unit was donated and moved to the MTM last year. I have not heard what they have planned for it. The MTM has more complete information about this unit on their roster page (see link below). What other equipment is remaining at the Como shops? There is a new museum, the Gopher State Railroad Museum which has acquired a wood RPO from Bandana Square (the name of the retail development in the Como Shops) as well as some other pieces of equipment that were formerly owned by the MTM (notably Armco B-71). The link to the Gopher State Railraod Museum is: http://www.gsrm.org/PagesEquip/EquipMain.html MTM Roster ![]() rrhistorian@hotmail.com |

What's with all this stuff leaving Bandana Square? Are there any plans to move the ex-GTW 0-8-0? The Lost Engines of Roanoke rjenkins@railfan.net |
