Yesterday Muni 162 collided with a semi, caving in its front end.

The Market Street Railway, the history/preservation group in San Francisco has a posting on its home page and the same on its blog page about this.

Appears that the frame is undamaged as it went under the trailer that was hauling a container.

Like so many city street cars this not the first time an end of the 162 was damaged -- see this page from the website:
