Post subject: | EBT Community Appreciation Day - Aug 10th 2002 *PIC* |
In appreciation for 42 years of patronage, the East Broad Top will be holding its 2002 Community Appreciation Day on August 10th. During the day train tickets will be half price and additional trains will run including an evening Twilight Train. The Friends of the East Broad Top will be conducting free tours of the Rockill Furnace EBT Yard and $5 tours of the historic one-of-a-kind Rockill Shops Complex. FEBT will also be performing restoration work on the Historic Shops buildings for the public. The Rockhill Trolley Museum, adjacent to the EBT, will be running half price trolley trips all day on their recently extended line. Numerous food and craft vendors will be on-site along with an exotic animal display. The day will be topped off with the annual Rockhill/Orbisonia homecoming Parade. We hope you will come by and have a great day riding the nation's oldest narrow gauge railroad. The East Broad Top Railroad Homepage ![]() ebtrr@spikesys.com |

Also, make time to come up to the FEBT Museum at the Robertsdale Station. I'll be your host on August 10th and would be glad to welcome you and show you around the Station and Old Post Office, or provide guidance on walking in to explore some of the nearby mining acheology sites like the Rockhill Slope portal and engine house ruins. |
