I understand that the car arrived in Cumberland on Saturday (per Carl Belt who supplied the flatbed and hoisting cranes). I probably was not off loaded until Sunday. Dave Wilson |

WM 204 was loaded and delivered to Cumberland Thursday and was unloaded Friday. There was a picture of it being unloaded on page 1 of the Cumberland Times - News Saturday. FYI - anything that is over (height - width - weight) and is moving with a permit cannot be moved on the weekend. |

I was perusing the internet this morning (instead of working, ugh) while watching the new Virtual Railfan cam in Cumberland - and started thinking about the WMSR Foundation (RIP) - and was reminded that they had acquired car #204 for restoration. It's been a very long time, and I know the RR has had other priorities - but I don't recall seeing any updates as to the status of this car. The RR has acquired/leased and run plenty of other cars in the meantime, including dome cars, dining cars, and the like. Is this still sitting in Ridgeley, and is there a future for this car on WMSR (if anyone on here knows)? |
