Does anyone have a line on parts and/or drawings to rebuild Coale safety valves? Specifically the spring and other steel parts.

The bill of materials for our locomotive identifies them as "Safety Valves - 3" Coale to suit Coale print #628." Set pressures are 225 and 228 psi. They were built in 1944.

Mr. Morris,

I realize this is not what you requested, but if you are interested I have worked with a safety repair company that in the past have helped me rebuild or repair old relief valves. ( many others declined to assist). If you are so inclined to seek their services, drop me line and I am happy to share their info or my experience with two beautiful Lunkenheimers still in service.

The springs will make or break the project. Same way with Ashton.

Does anyone have the Consolidated "pop" Safety vavle drawing set that they would like to trade for other drawings or sets?

I'd prefere the Form "R" version, the last Consolidated design.

PM me your answers.
