The barest of news here; the subscribers of Trains Magazine can go to Trains.com and their Newswire: Quote: The Pacific Railroad Preservation Association, the . . . caretaker [of Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway No. 700] since it was restored in the late 1980s, is working on a three-day excursion between Portland and Pasco, Wash., that is tentatively scheduled for Sept. 10–12.
