We recently posted a link to the real UP Challenger No. 3977 in North Platte, Nebraska, which has been repainted in the two-tone gray scheme. Ran across this truly excellent 1/8-scale live-steam model of it which was displayed at the Los Angeles Live Steamers. They were working fine this morning and I am not a subscriber. They seem to work some times and sometimes not.
