Post subject: Suggested Reading -- Conservation Code of Ethics

I'm working on some thoughts for categories of railroad preservation. My reading has lead me to the The American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works and their code of ethics for conservation and restoration.

The link is below. It's a good read and I highly suggest it.

The Americam Association of Museums also has a code of ethics online.

I think that the only part of it that may prove difficult for railfans is the fact that colecting in the same area as the museum you are working for is discouraged.

One soultion is to offer items to the institution
that you are working for.
