Post subject:  Steamtown Tobyhanna Equipment Moved

Hey All

For those who have been keeping track, another set of equipment has been moved back to Steamtown National Historic Site from the Tobyhanna Army Depot.

Today’s “Hospital” train was headed by the DL Railroad’s two D&H inspired RS-3’s and contained a few cars for braking in addition to the following Steamtown equipment:

1). Former Milwaukee Road F7 in Western Maryland dress.
2). Former N&W six-axle water canteen, last used on High Iron Co. excursions.
3). Former DL&W MU Car, number unknown, green.
4). Same as above.
5). Former DL&W MU Car, number unknown, cream and orange.
6). Ancient wooden combine with arched baggage doors on TTX flat car.
7). Remains of former East Branch and Lincoln log loader on TTX flat car.
8). Red Trolley car on TTX flat, I believe itÂ’s a Brill car and 5ft gauge, could be wrong there.
9). Former Great Western (Great Britain) coach.
10). Former Central Vermont (I think) red wooden caboose with white coupela.

This by no means clears out the Tobyhanna Yard, where at least a dozen pieces (all cars, no engines) remain. There are photographs of a great deal of this equipment on my web site.
