http://www.wtrf.com/story/25042995/second-superload There's a picture of it leaving the Benwood Junction rail yards. I'd point out that the lessons the oil and gas industry is picking up from moving their huge loads ought to be very, very useful for anyone moving rail equipment. |

Isn't it more likely that a company like Williams is learning everything it knows about superloads from companies established in the business, like Silk Road? |

Silk Road does a lot of medium sized loads like transit cars, But I don't believe they move stuff like this............ Quote: "It's about 128ft. long, 17ft. high, 510,000 pounds. We have a special transport that moves at a snail's pace -- one to five miles per hour," said Williams employee Bill Krieger The number of companies that move loads like these can be counted on 2 hands speaking of silk road, I haven't seen them on the road in awhile..... Used to see them at the NY line every couple of weeks, waiting for the DOT cops to inspect them |
