Post subject:  Turntable is 100' long

According to my "Extant Engine Houses In Canada" publication (by Parks Canada,1992), the turntable at Smiths Falls is 100' long, installed in 1929. Approximately ont-third of the roundhouse still existed until a few years ago. I believe the local preservation group there tried to save it, unsuccessfully. Some may remember nice photos of "standard" Hudson 2811 taken from the roof of the roundhouse in the late-1950s.
