As detailed in a television interview posted yesterday to RYPN flimsies, Rockhill Trolley Museum will be hosting its first Easter Bunny Trolley on Saturday, April 12.

However, the museum's newly acquired U2 Light Rail Vehicle #1019 will not on display on April 12 as stated in the media summary accompanying the article.

The U2 has been moved from San Diego and is temporarily stored off-site until the spring weather improves enough such that a move can be done safely and the museum has indoor display space adequately prepared before the vehicle's arrival.

We have not broadly disclosed the vehicle's storage location as it is not set up for public visitation and is private property. We ask that preservationists not speculate or post the location on a public forum such as this out of respect for the property owner who is not a trolley museum and not ready to handle visitors. We will soon be ready to present the car at the museum site and be delighted to show all interested parties this new acquisition which we are so excited about.

The remarkable story of this car's preservation, coast to coast transportation, display, and eventual return to operation will soon be shared when the vehicle arrives at Rockhill Trolley Museum later this spring and is reassembled.

A photo of #1019 being loaded for shipment to the east coast is attached to this message.

Our friends at Western Railway Museum recently took delivery of their U2, #1018 which was acquired as part of the same transaction as #1019. We are very happy to see examples of this vehicle preserved on both coasts and wish WRM many years of successful operation with their newest acquisition.

Sincerely,
