From the Trains.com web site: Restored Soo Line FP7 No. 2500 and former LTV Steel F9 No. 4211 will power September 14 and 15 excursions through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Canadian NationalÂ’s Wisconsin Central Division. The Duluth South Shore and Atlantic Division of the Soo Line Historical and Technical Society and the Delta County Area Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring the trips out of Gladstone, Mich. On September 14, the group will run trips between Gladstone and Little Lake, and between Gladstone and Hermansville. On September 15, trips will run from Gladstone to Marinette. The LTV 4211 had the distinction of heading the first and last pellet trains to Taconite Harbor. For ticket information, click on www.sooline.org. http://www.sooline.org ddg14@msn.com |
