I am need of drawings for 6 wheel heavyweight trucks. The truck in question is the outside swing hanger bottom equalized truck. I think the N&W has the drawings if someone knows what truck class this was on the N&W. Here is a pic of the trucks in question

Thanks

Yes the one pictures is a disc brake truck. Tread or disc brake drawings will work. I would like to find drawings of the truck mounted cylinder version

Columbus Castings in Columbus, Ohio is the current corporate successor to GSI, and should have the drawings you need. I haven't contacted them in a few years, but a man named Joe Patterson (jmpatter@columbuscastings.com) was my contact in the past for drawing orders. The drawings may cost in the neighborhood of $100.00 ea, but we are very lucky these drawings are still available at all, so I recommend to all car owners to get them while you can if you think you will ever have use for drawings of your trucks. You will need to supply the information that is cast into the end transoms of the trucks, which will translate to the appropriate drawing number for those trucks.

I thought Columbus Castings was the corporate successof of Buckeye Steel? I thought GSI was acquired by Lukens and eventually became part of ArcelorMittal?

In all of this acquisition, did Columbus Castings acquire the rights to GSC/GSI railroad products?

"Columbus Castings in Columbus, Ohio is the current corporate successor to GSI..."

Columbus Castings took over the former Buckeye Steel Castings facility when Buckeye went under, and Buckeye had apparently acquired the rights to GSC/GSI truck designs, and probably other GSC products as well.

Regardless of what all went on at a corporate level during the various bankruptcies, Columbus Castings is who you need to contact today for any General Steel Castings truck drawings.
