Need Approximate weight of trucks and axles.

I have found a set of trucks and axles/wheel for my caboose. Can any one give me a idea on the weight? I need to set up hauling and loading.

Our chapter recently purchased two sets of complete standard gauge archbar trucks that dated from around 1900. Each set of trucks weighed 9000 pounds each.

Just for comparison sake, the entire wooden body of our ETWNC 37' narrow gauge boxcar only weighed 9500 pounds!

Was that with the axles?

Yes, they were complete archbar trucks with wheels, axles, journal boxes, solid bearings, all of the associated springs, center bearings, etc. They were from the 1900 era, so I would imagine anything newer would be heavier.

There is a listing of various trucks used by PRR on this site and some of the drawings note the weight per truck. Also, somewhere on that site there is a chart showing the weights of all the classes used by PRR, although I can't put my finger on it right now.
