I remember seeing DRGW 278 on display on a trestle near Cimmaron, CO, in about 2006. The NPS website says it has been removed for restoration. I'm curious to know where it went and if there's any timeline on its return. Does anyone know? I'm considering heading that way early next month and wondered if I should stop.

At the last discussion, the engine was still inside the fence at the NPS facility in Cimmaron; apparently lots of restoration work has been done on it, and there is a debate ongoing about whether to return it to the bridge site or keep it at the railroad display site in Cimmaron itself.
