| Post subject: | Streamliners at Spencer-Gathering of Engineering Landmarks |
Since 1971, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ("ASME") has 251 items, sites, and or places Histrocial Mechanical Engineering Landmarks. A list is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Historic_Mechanical_Engineering_Landmarks What is interesting about this list is that this may be the first time several of the railroad-rellated landmarks have gathered. Notably, the Norfolk & Western 611, the EMD FT103 are both landmarks and are at the Spencer roundhouse, another landmark. Just some interesting food for thought. |
