Hopefully a few can weigh in on this.

For all the equipment that went to the event in Spencer, was there any problem from the Class 1's about alignment control couplers?

Eric, I've been away from RyPN for a while and just saw your post.
I can only speak for the DL&W move, which included the Erie and RDG units.

Since it was a special move by NS, alignment control couplers were not an issue. NS will move NAC-couplered equipment, but only as a special move, not in regular service.

NS did a phenomenal job moving our equipment--it made it to Spencer much more quickly than we thought it would, and the move home went just as smoothly.

See how it can go when you have a shipping carrier that wants things to go smoothly - no vandalism (because nothing sits too long anywhere), and no damage from Yard Masters that don't care about "Do Not Hump" stencils on passenger or other historic equipment, and treat them with either indifference or contempt. Bravo to NS for perfectly executed moves for the Streamliner event. They set a high bar.

A special thanks should go to the folks in NS's Transportation Dept., who handled the logistics for all the moves.
