"Give our volunteers a brake!" Dirt and debris are building up in our two 63-year-old Toronto street cars' control circuits! But no need to worry, this problem is easily remedied with the right tools. In order to protect the historic circuitry, we need to create new compartment enclosures. The Jet BP-1648H sheet metal brake is just the tool for the job. With this incredible machine, we'll be able to shape 48 inch wide 16 gauge metal sheets to protect our incredible trolleys and improve the duct work necessary for heating them in the winter. There will be no break for this brake in the foreseeable future! Your donation in support of this project will help us raise $1,789 for the sheet metal brake. Gifts may be matched at 50 cents for each dollar you contribute. To learn more and make a contribution please go to: http://www.power2give.org/go/o/910 Thank you for your continued support of National Capital Trolley Museum. Wesley E. Paulson Director of Development PS. Spread the word among all your contacts. Invite them to join you in support of Museum projects. Just imagine the impact of getting 5 of your contacts to donate just $10 each. |

Thanks to a generous donor our project is now fully funded. Power2Give has proven to be an effective tool for small campaigns, especially with the availability of matching funds. In this case we had an outside match of 50 cents for each dollar raised. Usually the match is a limited pool of total dollars available to several campaigns running concurrently by various non-profits so there in an incentive to reach the goal quickly. Sometimes we are eligible for a 1:1 match and sometimes it is 50 cents as was the case here. Wesley |
