Found the following listing for the entire Mark Twain Zephyr consist for sale. It looks pretty well stripped inside, and is missing trucks, but could probably still be saved for some kind of display. It would be a real shame for the scrappers to get a hold of it.

Sorry, apparently this is old news. I guess I should check the RYPN interchange archives more often. But, it's still there, and as before, it would be a real shame for the scrappers to get a hold of it. Anyone have any current news on efforts to save it?

I have no news, but the owner told me several years ago that he had a new set of glass windows made for it, stored safely. Does anyone know what happened to the interior items?
