has anyone been down to Lynchburg to see how C&O 2760 is faring this summer? I have been hoping that some responsible railroad enthusiast group has awakened the powers that be to have her moved, donated, or restored.

My inlaws live there so I get to visit her several times a year. No change. The city just finished renovating the former Sou. Railway Kemper Street Station as a joint Amtrak-Greyhound intermondal facility and it looks quite nice. There is talk in the local paper of moving the engine there someday for display, but nothing that's gone past the "gee wouldn't it be nice if..." stage.
