A couple of years ago I saw a listing for Atlantic Coast Line #712 a 2-8-0 in South Carolina. It was in a sad state and looked much like one of the Roanoke engines. Is it still rusting in the weeds or by some chance did someone buy it?

I had heard it was still owned by the scrapper that has had it for many years now but an agreement was reached with SCRM whereby they would cosmetically restore it for display at their museum on the old Rockton and Rion. She is a pretty little thing but like most quarry hogs was well depreciated before retirement.

If this is the one I think it is, I saw this locomotive a few years back and I believe the saddle is cracked.
