The Valley Railroad will be hosting the Amtrak history train. While the valley Railroad is not an educational not for profit I think this event helps bring history (and visitiors) to the railroad. This goes back to an old topic I posted viewtopic.php?f=1&t=36332 . How maney museums have aproched Amtrak about hosting there trains? |

If I recall correctly, Amtrak visited the Strasburg Rail Road a short while back (I want to say it was for National Train Day, but not 100%). I remember a heritage F40 and a Genesis both making their way over Strasburg's rails via the interchange at Leaman Place for a temporary display on service tracks around the station. |

Yes, they were here twice. |

It looks like Amtrak has stoped at some railroad museums and is planning to bring its train to a few more. How does this come about do the museumes offer or does Amtrak chose the best railroad attraction in the ariea and ask them? |
