An interesting image showing a small tank loco on a flat car today. It was being towed away from the railway works after repair at Boston Lodge in North Wales.

Glad to see Talyllyn has been repaired. I remember reading somewhere that her running gear was damaged out on the line earlier this year. Did the railway ever publicly release the cause of the malfunction?

I don't think there was any secret, a crank pin broke and, IIRC, the coupling rod was bent. A new rod has been fitted. A great example of co-operation between preserved railways. Ray.
