I definitely believed in that. Many people probably wouldn't go to VMT or even to Roanoke IF N&W 611 wasn't there. I've gone to see 611 down in Roanoke on 5 different vacations throughout my lifetime. Hopefully after the rebuild it travel closer to me. Here's my past and recent videos of N&W 611:

Saw 611 once again during the past NCTM train show. Preston Claytor did a talk about the history of the locomotive, and what's being currently worked on during this restoration. While at the presentation he did mention the locomotive is a Magnet at attracting people. Hopefully I'll get the talk and at present restoration video.
