| Post subject: | Canaan Union Station rebuilding? |
Plans are afoot for rebuilding Canaan Union Station, the New England gem devistated by arson. I personally have mixed feeleings about the plans described in the article, fearing the end result will be something considerably less then an accurate replica/recreation. i friend off mine lives in the area and has been sending me some of the newspaper articles. I am glad to see that the teenagers responsible for the arson are going to do jail time for burning that wonderful building down. I also hope that it can be rebuilt according to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for Historic Structures. it is on the National Register and deserves to be! ted_miles@nps.gov |
