Arizona Railway Museum has the same engine on a Plymouth and they had their compressor shred itself, they are working to repair it. Perhaps they have put together a lot of information during the repair. From what they are going though, it would be wise to not let it come apart!!

We have contact with them and understand the issues they are having with the compressor comming apart. Just would like to see what else is out there in regards to this engine.

Perhaps it would be best if you asked a specific question. Sometimes repair manuals for these kinds of things don't go into much detail anyway..

Do you have a picture of the compressor? Reason I ask is I have and know where a few older Leroi compressors are hanging out. Westinghouse designs made for commercial use. Possibly some minute chance of part compatibility? Probably not, but maybe worth trying? Personally I am looking for a Leroi 800/880 pump for donor parts or somebody to unload mine on. Good luck with your search. Email me back channel if you want.

Regards, John.

Nevada State railroad Museum is planning to scrap a Le Roi engine with a built in compressor. If anyone wants the compressor or parts I would be happy to remove it and crate it. I won't pay for shipping. The compressor and parts are available for free. I should prefer to have old iron reused rather than scrapped.

John this is a 2000 cu in engine with a built in air compressor on the front of the engine. The issue is how does this thing work and how does it come apart we have all kinds of engine info and nothing on the air compressor.

Am almost positive my good intentions wouldn't work for this, but then again you never know. I try to keep my eyes open in my travels. Anyway you could get pictures? We have an older Plymouth Gas with Climax engine, this has external compressor on it. I would like to see pics of this if you got any. Intrinsic interest in all things impossible.

Regards, John.
