In 1971, Phil Jordan, just out of high school, made a road trip in a worn-out '63 Plymouth Valiant to Burlington, Vermont, where the Vermont Railway had risen from the ashes of the abandoned Rutland Railway.

Look at the three leads full of TOFC in that second photograph. What a different future that was supposed to be!
