After a protracted delay, we were successful in opening up the coal doors and installing the cover plates on the coal bunker of 6069. Although this was not as she would have been in service, it was paramount that this coal bunker be covered as the weather was beginning to take a toll on the interior of the bunker and the stoker..

Hoping for a last warm front to come through so I can get a coat of primer on the new roof cover...

You can't even see it from the ground... perfect!

Difficult to find a CNR steam loco with as beautiful lines and colors as these "Bullet Nose Betty's".

First person to call it oil fired with the cover on will get coal in their stocking :) Thank's guy's, I am pleased how the cover turned out. We thought about using wood but given that she is outdoors in all weather it wouldn't last long.

Of course, putting shingles on the wood would protect it just like any roof.

No issues with the page...? does have some ads on there though that might cause that to happen?

It worked fine for me.
The Sarnia Journal website is a reputable website. It is probably an ad on the page that is on a third party server.
