The following is text from the web site linked below: "Railway Preservation" "Since 1987, the Quiat family has been preserving railroad equipment that is historical to Colorado and the West. To date, 3 narrow gauge cars have been preserved and a number of standard gauge cars as well. While the collection includes 15 standard gauge cars that are on the Colorado Register of Historic Properties, there are a number of cars that are viewed as surplus to the collection." Anyone know what group or museum this is? The web site doesn't give any more information. Allan http://www.rrpreservation.org ddg14@attbi.com |

As far as I can tell Allan, this is an entirely private collection accrued quietly by the Quiat family [no pun intended].. What's equally interesting is that the location of the equipment is equally well-UNknown.. hi_plain@yahoo.com |

All the web site lists is what that are getting rid of. It would be interesting to find out what they have that they are keeping, and what the equipment they say they have already restored looks like. And, what plans they have for displaying it for others to see. Hopefully the site will have more details sometime soon... ddg14@attbi.com |
