I imagine that anyone who wanted to comment on the Adirondack Scenic issue has already done so, but just in case you haven't, today is the last day.

E-Mail:

nystravelcorridor@dot.ny.gov

Conventional mail (state will likely use postmark date as filing date):

NYS Travel Corridor
NYS DOT Freight and Passenger Rail Bureau
50 Wolf Road
POD 5-4
Albany NY 12232

Oh, I have sent in a comment--feel free to use its arguments if you wish!

Anyone commenting should address the three questions posed by NYSDEC and NYSDOT about the 1996 Remsen-Lake Placid Travel Corridor (RLPTC) Unit Management Plan (UMP):
Quote:
Questions for the Public

Should the 1996 RLPTC UMP be amended to convert the Tupper Lake to Lake Placid segment of the Corridor to a recreational trail?

Should the 1996 RLPTC UMP be amended to bolster rail service along the remainder of the Corridor?

What opportunities exist to expand snowmobile routes and other recreational trails to connect communities between Old Forge and Tupper Lake?

For example, if you support rail all the way to Lake Placid, you want to say something like:

"The 1996 RLPTC UMC should NOT be amended to convert the Tupper Lake to Lake Placid segment of the Corridor to a recreational trail",
or
"I am opposed to amending the 1996 RLPTC to convert the Tupper Lake to Lake Placid segment of the Corridor to a recreational trail".
