I have finally tracked down the location of original boiler elevation drawings produced by Climax Manufacturing Co., and Heisler Locomotive Works. For more information, contact: Babcock Borsig Power Erie Plant 1420 Cascade Street Erie, PA 16502 Please be advised that this does not include all detail parts drawings or other types of drawings, ONLY boiler elevations! I also do not know the full extent of their holdings. Most of what they have are blueprints. Other caches of Climax drawings are known to be in possession of the Casler family of Pittsburgh and Corry, Pa., and in the hands of a private individual in Forest Hills, Maryland. K. R. Thanks, Kurt While Climax Drawings are rare, Heisler Drawings are even harder to get. Do you know if the Stearns Heisler boilers were included in these drawings or only the Heisler Company? Tom ironbartom@aol.com |

I'm not sure. You'll need to contact the named company directly. The drawings came to the present company from the Union Iron Works of Erie who did boiler work for both companies. K.R. Very interesting indeed, do you happen to know the phone number of the company and/or a contact name? Have you talked with them...are they willing to make copies? Thanks for the information! Scott Wickert The Curtiss Lmb. Co. #2 60 ton Heisler srw@localaccess.com |

Gregory Seaholm, Regional Account Representative at Babcock Borsig Power is the contact person. His phone number is (814) 878-5274. I believe they have recently made copies of Climax boiler elevations for Cass Scenic RR, so copies evidently are obtainable. K.R.
