I've been trying to find out if the photographs taken by Allan Krieg exist. Allan worked for the UP and wrote "Last of the three foot loggers" as well as supplied photos for the Pacific Coast Shay book and other publications. Somebody thought his photos might have gone to Pentrex? Richard |

His book "Last of the Three Foot Loggers" was published by Golden West Books. Golden West Books is still around and operated by Donald Duke with the same PO Box in San Marino as ever. Thanks Brian. I called Golden West and as far as they know the collection disappeared. Thats a shame since he took some great logging railroad photos in the late 40's.
