Like many museums the Northwest Railway Museum at Snoqualmie, WA is good at telling what they have but gives no information on what has left the collection. A while back I banged togeather a list of missing artifacts. The list runs to 11 pages so I will just show the locomotives to start. If anyone is interested I will post other catagories.'

The web site trainorders.com had quite a bit about the engine "Skookum" about a week ago, in the Steam and Excursion section. It looks like the engine is well along to being restored.

John T,
Yes - if you can post the other categories in another thread that would be great.
Thanks.

A lot of these are self explanatory. They went to places better equipped to manage them, and in many cases they are under conservation or restoration to operation.

Snoqualmie made the hard choice that they could not support all the artifacts they had, and is much healthier today as a result.

Some of these are not really even part of the original "collection". For example, 1070 is not really a Snoqualmie engine. It has a rich history at Lake Whatcom. I would hate to trade the many years of colorful operation there for storage at Snoqualmie.

John, thanks for all your work on this subject.

One small correction if I may...
former Santa Maria Valley 2-8-2 21 has 19 by 26 inch cylinders, the same as Sierra Ry. 28 & 34.

Again, great job.
