A few years ago, a friend of mine in Kansas, saved the old Elmont R.I. depot from being burned and has restored it on his own property. More recently, he found a Rock Island 1952 built Pullman Standard PS-1 boxcar similar to this one:

Note that this car carries the special "Centennial" herald and was located on a farm in the area, where it had been used for storage. After some time, he finally convinced the owner to sell the car to him, rather than to a scrapper and he has moved it to a track in front of his depot. Recently he sent me the attached photo of a very nice repair he made to one end of the car. But as you can see, the car lacks a set of couplers. If anyone knows the location of a set, please let me know and I can pass the information on to him.

Thanks!

Les

I have a set of couplers that may work and as an added bonus am only about 40 miles from the car! Anyway, I sent a PM with details.
