The Walt Disney Company has donated items from it's California Zephyr themed ice cream shop located at Anahiem's Disney California Adventure park to the Western Pacific Railroad Museum in Portola, California:

Items include the ex-CN diesel cab, masquerading as WP 804-A, as well as a number of framed photos and artifacts from the original CZ, which will assist the WPRM in telling the story of this famous name train.

I'm glad to see that the items were preserved. The California Zephyr would have been one of my planned stops if I ever made it to the California Adventure. Oh well, one less reason to visit expensive theme park, one more reason to visit and support awesome rail museum. :) Looking forward to the day I can make it to Portola, whenever that day will be.

I still have one reason to visit the California Adventure, however. There's an old steam donkey down by one of the water rides...

Well they are building street cars resembling PE Hollywood cars to run through the area. A lot of the tracks are already in place along with the wig-wags. Might be worth your time right there.

One of my Coworkers visited Portola as part of the RPCA convention and reports the cab is stored outdoors on a flatcar at this time. I can post pics at a later date.
