Aerial view of Pere Marquette turntable at Port Huron, Michigan. Looks abandoned in photo. Worth checking out if you need one. You may need to join the Pere Marquette Yahoo group to see it.

Bob-

This is the turntable that is now at Mayville, Michigan, that sits near a U-Haul place. It was purchased and moved in the Summer of 1999 by a gentleman who also has the Vassar Depot. There is nothing on that site today, unfortuntaely. The turntable sat abandoned (but on land still owned by CSX) until then. The roundhouse came down in the late 1970's, the coal dock in 1982. I used to play around there as a kid (I can hear the CSX detectives phoning the police now...) as my grandmother lived a block away from there. To my knowledge the table still sits a the U-Haul in Mayville on a flatbed trailor. Its only about 85-feet long (maybe 90 at most) so I don't know who might be able to use it. Also, I believe the gentleman in Mayville has been asked, and he isn't interested in selling it. I'll try and dig up the article on its move in 1999 when I can.
