Good Evening, this is my first day on Railway Preservation News. I've collected various home movies and have converted several to digital. One of my best film is that I have the Union Pacific Steam Turbines #1 & #2 being tested on the NYC at Westfield, NY. This set is only in black and white with the units being painted in the GE brown. But I do have a short section of them in Union Pacific paint scheme and in COLOR. Supposely this is the only known live footage of them in color. I would like to communicate with anyone that has an interest in these. I am also looking for photos of them when they were operating on the Great Northern. I probably have over 50 various films, including the Train of Tomorrow. |

I'm sure many would love to see your films. Can you post them to Vimeo or Youtube? There is good information on the GE steam turbine-electrics in "The Streamliner" (the UP Historical Society magazine) Vol. 10 No. 2 (1995) |

I have one video on Youtube at Westfield, NY on the New York Central. It has some great railroad footage. I will be downloading most of my films on Youtube within the next couple of weeks. I'll see if I can get a copy of the "The Streamliner". Thanks for your info. |

Now that's some remarkable footage! Amazing that this finally surfaces after 75 years! And the 999 in tow is the cherry on the sundae.... Howard P. |
