Post subject:  Baldwin/ragonett power reverse drawings

I'm in search of drawings for a Baldwin power reverse gear. I need drawings for the crosshead type (Type C). Can anybody help out? See pic below.

Thanks

In collecting drawings and tech data for the restoration of Alaska Railroad #557 I tracked down a copy of the 1938 parts and instruction manual that covers BLW Type "T" and "C" power reverse gears and I have a scan of it. I think we have some Ragonett information as well. We just finished the overhaul of our Type "C" and I can also give you a source where we got replacement piston cups.

Send me a PM with your email address.

I can tell you from experience that you want new cups and spares. Don't ask me how I know this.

Sumpter Valley 19 and 20 have the type T that were added when on the WP&Y. I ordered new cups some time back which were just 10" Wabco brake cups. Not sure if anything had been modified for it to use these. I am sure we would love to have a set of drawings on file for ours.
