I just saw the Retweet on Twitter - what is that I'm looking at from the 2100?

Stay tuned, boys. And April 1 is rapidly receding in the rear-view mirror, so fuggedabout THAT.

There ARE second acts in this game. Keep your eyes open.

Could I please paint out the red skirting and horrible "name" on the tender? I will bring my own spray rig, and supply the paint!!

Ditchlights in the sand--- nice image.

Now all they need are 20 round-roof RDG coaches, a combine and heavyweight diner (mid-train Rambles Food Service car).

This is the same group that is trying to move/restore the Frisco 1352, American Steam Railroad or americansteamrailroad.org. They seem to have removed everything about the Frisco engine from their website.

From the Trains story:
Quote:
The Association was formed in 2005 and owns Frisco locomotive No. 1352, located in Taylorville, Ill. Fundraising efforts to perform a similar move of No. 1352 continue.

Hey, look, they color coordinated the jacks with the trim on the engine (ducking for cover)!

Lol. No need to duck and cover -- the humor is welcome.

Can I donate money for the paint? :) All they need to do is run a ramble on Reading Company track and they have instant people. If they do I'll be on board, no questions asked. A heavyweight diner would be no problem with 1186 in Philly. 1186 was even used on the Iron Horse Rambles, it'd be nice to see it back in action no matter what. Who even owns 1186 anymore, its been vacant for ages?http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=steak+and+bagel+train&view=detailv2&&&id=53AEDF2CD8F0F2F01BB71F2249065E9FF55E6759&selectedIndex=6&ccid=4VxjxhJi&simid=608021658576684710&thid=HN.608021658576684710&ajaxhist=0

Something tells me that the opportunity arose where ASR just couldn't logically say no... Somehow the opportunity must have came up (for all we know, this could have been in the works for years), and 2100 was just in good enough shape where it's worth their while. Regardless, good for ASR.

And what's wrong with the red Howard? I think it adds a bit of class...
